The working principle of RHU thermal relay is that the current flowing into the thermal element generates heat, causing deformation of bimetallic sheets with different expansion coefficients. When the deformation reaches a certain distance, it pushes the connecting rod to act, causing the control circuit to be disconnected, thereby powering off the contactor and disconnecting the main circuit, achieving overload protection for the motor.

As an overload protection component for electric motors, thermal relays have been widely used in production due to their small size, simple structure, and low cost.
